Forum Friends,

Over the last couple of years, I've been experimenting with posting quotes on websites with spiritual themes. Usually one or two quotes that resonate with the list purpose, with a link to the Foundation's text embedded. There have been several replies from various lists during this time.

Below's one that came in recently. I wrote this member back and answered questions best I could. But mostly referred to the text. The list member wrote in part:

...I have been reading your messages and I am very interested in learning more about the "Urantia Book."

Could you please enlighten me a bit? I would guess there is some type of religious views (denomination) associated with the book, Rick. Please expand on my theory, if you have the time and so choose.

I am a lifetime student of religion. Currently Buddhism and Taoism has peaked my interests.. actually for about 8-10 years now...

I do enjoy the messages you send and find them all to be true and valuable to me.

Thank you for "spreading the word.. and - spreading truth...

Love and Light, ********

Sounds like this one may be ready for revelation. Who knows but Father? I'm just blogging in as a fisherman on the Web.
Lotsa love, Rick

Forum Friends,

Below is feedback from this quote. It was posted on several spirit-oriented Websites:

...Freewill beings who regard themselves as equals, unless they mutually acknowledge themselves as subject to some supersovereignty, some authority over and above themselves, sooner or later are tempted to try out their ability to gain power and authority over other persons and groups. The concept of equality never brings peace except in the mutual recognition of some overcontrolling influence of supersovereignty.... p. 1487

QUOTE
i enjoy the quotes that u send. is their a group that i can actually go
to and chat about the goodness of god and how he shares his love.
irregardless what a person religion is to me as long as u believe and
faithful in his word. but however the bible says that no man can go to
the father wothout going through his son. so i give thanks and
especially am thankful to still have life and breath in me.... have a
good day

A Bahai follower replied to this quote on 'Religion and Peace':

...the moment you lose sight of the spirit sovereignty of God the Father, some one religion will begin to assert its superiority over other religions; and then, instead of peace on earth and good will among men, there will start dissensions, recriminations, even religious wars, at least wars among religionists.... p1487

QUOTE
hi,

I like what you say. We must focus on the Almighty and I also want to make a point that
people must be made to understand that since there is only one God, His religions are one.
the Great Covenant says that God will never leave man alone and so fulfill this covenant,
He sends His Messengers time to time. In the past, God send Abraham, Moses, Jesus Christ,
Krishna, Buddha, Zoroaster, Muhammad, and for this time the Bab and Baha'u'llah.

Every age has a Messenger and they bring teachings for that age. The teaching for today which
Baha'u'llah brings is Unity of God, Unity of Religions and Unity of mankind.

an interesting website to visit: www.bahai.org

best regards, xxxxxxxxx

Two more:

...Thank you so much for your continued service in posting these quotes from The Urantia Book. I really liked today's quotes, but I like to finish my exploration of quotes with your postings. They always seem to lift the thought one step higher. or one step closer, or one more step inward, if an experiential term is to be found. The Urantia Book is grounding, while uplifting. It is a foundational piece for my understanding the reason and meaning for all the discipline of thought, cultivation of faith, to express consciously and lovingly here in this world - and experience the good, the true, and the beautiful...

...once again you drop another pearl of wisdom, happy I was there to reach down and snatch it up as it rolled by...

Thanks much Phil!

PS Not sure if it's clear, the quote below isn't mine. Was from the moderator of one of the websites that 'GoodThots' goes to:

Dear dissemination forum Friends,

Not sure which of the half dozen websites this person was reading that the daily UB quotes on truth, beauty and goodness go out to. Unfortunately there was no reply to my answers, and no answers to my questions about where they were read.

The person wrote:

"...I truly enjoy the quotes you post everyday. I have the Urantia book but sometimes the wording is so complicated. Anyway I have yet to be able to read the book in its entirety and definitely not in order. Have you read through the whole thing? How crucial is the Urantia book in the times that we live in? It seems to have so much truth. I am also wondering about how it includes the story of Jesus in relation to the Bible. Well thanks for your time ~ God Bless "
