Success of Spanish III Encuentro Nacional de Lectores

—Cáceres, España

The 3rd National meeting of Spanish Readers of The Urantia Book has been a complete success. Some fifty people socialized in a fraternal atmosphere during three days, at the "Santuario de Nuestra Señora de la Montaña" in Cáceres, a monumental city at the center-west of Spain. The reception day was on October, day 31.

The entire event was very well organized by the Asociación Urantia de España, a local association having its current administrative nucleus in the Seville group that surround and check every Sunday the drafts of the Spanish new translation of The Urantia Book.

Esteban Cotán Reyes, President of the IUA Spain, provided all the people attending with the "Estatutos y Reglamentos de la Asociación Internacional Urantia" and encouraged them to read the papers carefully.

On the last day, I supplied the readers with brochures of the Book, and with the beautiful color brochures and pens that Victor García gave to me in Barcelona, as a gift from the Foundation.

In the previous invitation cards to the event, it was a very good idea to warn the readers, by advance and in a diplomatic way, that we were not especially interested in UFO, reincarnation, astrology, etc. That we were going to be focused on The Urantia Book.

The discussions at the programmed sessions reached a very high quality level, so high that the new readers felt grateful that such quality was understandable for them. One new reader from Sevilla told publicly that he learned more in those three days about The Urantia Book than in three months studying it isolated! (¿?).

The more experienced people said that it was the best Urantian meeting ever in Spain.
