On the 7th, 8th and 9th of November, I attended a conference in Chile where 24 readers from many parts of South and North America came together to celebrate and exchange the gift of our guardian Angels. I want to thank personally the organizers of that conference for their dedication and efforts in producing an event that was most inspiring, even for a non Spanish speaking person. It started on the Friday night and ended late on the Sunday afternoon. We were even blessed with a magnificent view of the lunar eclipse on the Saturday night as we gathered outside reflecting on this celestial view and the impact it had on our ancestors.
From the day I arrived at the airport to the day I departed, I was treated and felt like I was part of that beautiful family of South American readers. Every efforts were made to make everyone comfortable and welcome. It was a time of sharing and meeting new spiritual brothers and sisters. I felt the strong desire of the readers to communicate with the indwelling spirit of the Father in their mind and this in itself preclude the establishment of the brotherhood of men.
Many thanks to Andrée, Nadine, Marcella, Gladys, René, Patricia, Oscar, Carolina, Carlos and all the others that have made manifest the love of God throughout that weekend.

Cono Sur Fifth Annual Conference

YES indeed!! We had a great conference!!
We had the chance to explore the teachings intellectually and to live them in our souls. At a certain moment I was talking with one of the members of my group (we were divided in five groups to study different parts of the papers) and we had this insight, that made us think that we were already in a mansion world ... such a great moment! Feeling celestial harmony! Feeling real peace and love!
For two full days we shared the joy of being aware citizens of Urantia. Trying to understand more the teachings about a certain theme, but more important willing to share the emotion of recognizing each other as brothers and sisters, children of our loving Father. We studied all the papers related to the Seraphim and the Midwayers, five papers in two days! And at the end of the meeting, with tears in almost every one's eyes, feeling the presence of the Spirit, we gave an applause to our celestials companions, thanking them for their help in having such a great conference, and for all what they daily do for us in our lives, and the emotion was too much! We worshiped the Father and we shared His Love among us.
We were not many, but we came from many countries, along with our Urantia Books. And we had a great time, similar to the ones many of you already know, when attending to such a social gathering, when the family gets together—for me the best to possibly have!! And we really felt being in a family. We were all supporters of the AIU and the UF. No conflict of interest to worry about, just to enjoy the privilege of having accepted to study the Revelation. And the joy of feeling Celestial Love.
Thanks Gaétan Charland for coming all the way down South to give as your wise words and your fraternal presence! Thanks Marian Hughes from Hawaii for changing your schedule flight and make it to the conference, and sharing with us your experience as an old reader plus your leadership skills. Caio and Nancy came from Brazil, the president and his wife of the newest National Association of the AIU, Carolina came from Bolivia, three guys took the 21 hours ride on a bus across the Andes to attend from Argentina, and special thanks to the core of Chileans readers who organized so well this meeting, and open their hearts to us all, picking us at the airport, hosting in their homes the ones who stayed after the meeting, and for all the little actions that showed the Spirit working in and through them.
Every one of us is already counting down the days for our next year's conference, which will be the 6th of the Urantia Association of the Southern Cone. I hope many more readers will attend next year, it is highly recommended! And this is the perfect answer to the ones who are asking why to join an association of the IUA. Just come to a conference and see, and feel ... and you'll know!!
